We sent 4 Tray Ladies & 4 Stilt Walkers to Walnut Creeks Broadway Plaza Grand Opening Event- 

The ‘Party in the Plaza’ event had a festive Carnival theme with colors turquoise and orange- which was fun to create custom costuming for.

We brought two talented aerialists and a dessert skirt to this great Charity Gala– the aerialists gave the guests something lovely to look at as they arrived in the Grand Ballroom at the Fairmont Hotel.

Introducing the Wild-LIFE of the party…Party Animals!

Our Party Animals made their debut for the Rainforest Action Network at the Starline Social Club where they made the crowd go WILD. These animals tower above your guests (on four-legged stilts), they can be “tamed” and elegant, or ridiculously and playfully interactive. You’d be surprised at what a zebra could get away with at a party!

These signature characters were also the (wild)life of the party at the San Francisco and Oakland Zoo! We can incorporate your custom theme or request through our realistic or fantastical body paint animals! Below a corporate party at SF City Hall we body painted these characters for great photo opps for the guests and the dancers for their Broadway inspired show. 

-This Summer our Tiger and Zebra strolled around bringing wonder to Jack’s Night Market in Oakland for all 3 of it’s dates. Blogger Sally mentioned on her blog Little Hiccups,”Kids will love the carnival entertainers that stroll around the markets. The stilt walking zebra and tiger were a huge hit with all the kids…”

GOOD CAUSE- The Party Animals are part of our giving back initiatives…so every party animal booking results in a donation to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Mercy For Animals.

Practical Considerations: Stilt Party Animals require a designated ground supporter, which can provided by Catalyst Arts for a small fee or assigned from your staff or volunteers. For large crowded events or events with copious amounts of alcohol, we include a “zookeeper” to protect the animals and also serve as a photographer.

Pricing:  Bookings for ground animals start at $350; stilt animals start at $500. Please see our price sheet for more information.

We sent a couple of our dazzling 20’s dames to greet and mingle with guests at a company event at a historic mansion in San Jose… booked by Entire Productions.

August 20th – ARABIAN NIGHTS PRIVATE PARTY IN SONOMA –
3 of our talented dancers did 2 poolside dance shows at this swanky private poolside party up in the hills above Sonoma– a belly dance show and a fire dance show. This is the 4th time in a row this client has had us spice up this legendary party!

August 26th – NAUTICAL THEMED COMPANY PARTY ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE in SF
Our Vintage Sailor leaning tray ladies greeted guests with sailor hats and treasure maps, our pirates wandered and sang and messed with guests, our nautical stilt walkers and mermaid blew bubbles and made great photo opps. All together it was a very fun package!

August 27th – LUXURIOUS PRIVATE B-DAY SOIREE in PENTHOUSE 

This was a very unique exclusive birthday event at the Fairmont hotel penthouse- and Entire Productions brought us in to provide a Champagne Skirt, a Steampunk themed character model greeter, 4 human decor artists, and 2 ballerina birds with a giant gold cage!
These gorgeous elegant birds are now added to our Birds of Paradise collection.

Executive Director/Owner, Audette Sophia participated in the World Body Painting Festival in Austria for the 1st week of July- taking 4 days of Intensive Bodypaint Workshops in the WB Academy to learn new techniques. This program is unlike anything available at any makeup school in the World.
She studied Fashion Bodypainting, Geiger Style Airbrush, 3D Blacklight Body Paint, & Composition Bodypainting.

During the festival itself people can wander around and watch as hundreds of the top bodypainters from all around the world bring their ideas to life on human canvases.

She was also at the WBF in 2013… now with 2 of these inspirational overload weeks and over 8 years of professional people paint experience- we are excited to see more body painting in our Catalyst Arts eventertainment package.  Visit her personal art website for more info on her Body Art Services:

On July 16th, we sent a red and gold Casino Real-themed Champagne Skirt to celebrate a 50th birthday at the Westin St. Francis. She greeted guests with glasses of bubbly as they entered the Coat Check, and later on in the evening as dessert was served.

Our fabulous Living Table and Champagne Skirt models helped to celebrate a Silver Showgirl-themed 50th birthday in Rancho Cordova on July 23rd. They cruised around the event floor offering guests refreshments and a stellar photo opp.

We were hired by California’s Great America for their ‘Taste of Orleans’  event series on July 22nd, 23rd, 30th and 31st!
We sent 3 festive Mardi Gras costumed entertainers, including 2 stilt walkers.
They danced, distributed masks & beads, blew bubbles, gave high fives to the little ones and posed for 10,001 pictures. Official article here

June Highlights

Catalyst Arts had the pleasure of producing the Beauty & Body Art Bar, an Interactive Zone in the VIP area for the 20th anniversary of the Electric Daisy Carnival  June 17th-19th in Las Vegas!Inside the Kinetich Fields we had an amazing location, alongside a champagne and coconut water vendor and an oxygen bar. The free to the public Body Art Services provided by our team was one of the biggest highlights of the whole VIP Experience!

Lucky VIP guests had the luxury of relaxing in  Catalyst Art’s 25 foot Airstream trailer known as the Catalyst Airship or in the tented area where they enjoyed full-service hair, fantasy makeup & bodypaint by our fabulous professional human décor artists. (see who below) 

Catalyst Arts also unveiled an experimental new interactive game: Catalyst Cards, a unique social playing card game that encouraged guests to engage with each other while lounging in the Beauty Bar.

Our fabulous rainbow-themed Champagne Skirt and face painters helped employees celebrate Pride at a large tech companies SF offices.
It was very fun to create this outrageous colorful new look for the champagne skirt.

And still on a Pride Note… On June 23rd, we had the pleasure of being a part of a Fundraiser for the Trevor Project held at Twitter’s Headquarters in SF.
We provided 2 futuristic-themed Stilt Walkers to liven up the ‘orange carpet’ as well as one elegant Champagne Skirt model who greeted guests at the elevators with glasses of bubbly and fresh fruit.

May Highlights

Just a few Highlights from our Events in May!

Zebra and Tiger and Giraffe at Netflix Employee Appreciation Event

On May 6th, we brought our brand new 4 Legged Stilt ‘Party Animals’ to an Employee Appreciation lunch event at Netflix Headquarters! Booked by Ideas Events. Employees loved munching on yummy foods while dancing and prancing along with our elaborately costumed Stilt Walkers.

On May 18th, we brought a Mardi Gras-themed Living Table and an Airbrush Artist to the New Orleans Blues and Jazz event at the City Club in San Francisco.

Our fabulous Living Table model offered guests a taste of New Orleans while our Airbrush Artist, Audette Sophia created fanciful decorations on the faces and arms of guests.

 

Golden & Silver Champagne Skirts at SF City Hall

Our favorite entertainment agency client Entire Productions brought us in to provide two elegant Champagne Skirts to the Human Kindness Gala at San Francisco’s City Hall on May 19th.
Our models dazzled as they offered guests a refreshing glass of bubbly.

Our professional Human Decor team (Audette Sophia & Nastassia Weit) painted the performers and then the guests once they arrived.

Catalyst Oasis at Lightning in a Bottle Festival

We provided an entire Interactive Zone at the Lightning in a Bottle festival from May 27th through 30th. It featured our Face/Body Paint services as well as a Refresh Essential Oil spritzer tree and the latest version of our experimental social playing card game– Catalyst Cards!

On April 2nd, our Body Painted models were quite the photo opportunity during cocktail hour and we face painted these  Broadway hit musical “Cats” inspired creatures for a big show on the steps of SF City Hall! CSI knows how to throw a party for sure.

On April 9th we got to create a whimsical and elegant Steampunk Themed Eventertainment package for the 50th anniversary of the Athenian School at Ruby Hill Winery.
Two Golden Living Statues (a gentlemen & an airship captain), two Stilt Walkers, and a Champagne Skirt lady greeted and entertained guests at the very special Steampunk Gala.

On April 19th, we were hired by Innovative Entertainment to bring our popular Champagne Skirt to the supremely elegant Palace Hotel in SF for a corporate event. Our golden model greeted guests with a glass of bubbly at the door and then switched to offering red and white wine during dinner.

Butterflies, Flowers & Zebras, Oh my!

As Winter turned into Spring, we have had a fabulously busy season celebrating the return of sunshine, flowers, and the upcoming Earth Day!

For the first time, instead of being used to carry refreshments, our Champagne Skirt was used to give out flowers at the ‘Suddenly Spring Event’ at the Bentley Reserve in San Francisco for Entire Productions.

Of course, without insects and birds, flowers would have a hard time pollinating! So we created our Hummingbird and Bumblebee Tray Lady costumes for an event at the Quarryhill Botanical Gardens in wine country!

Our Butterfly and Pink Flower Girl costumes also helped celebrate with families last weekend for the EarthFest at the Westlake Mall for a fun-filled afternoon.

Our Nature-themed Characters have also grown to include “Party Animals”! Our Zebra and Giraffe models were the life of the party at the Rainforest Action Network’s 30th Birthday Party, called “Revel in Spring”.

February Event Highlights

Some of the Great Events we got to bring Entertainment to this Month included:

Chinese New Year Tech Party

We brought some great color and excitement to a Chinese New Year themed party at a Tech company in San Francisco.
The red and gold costumed entertainers represented the Fire for the fire monkey year… and we had a Stilt Walker, Living Table, and Champagne Skirt.

 

Wedding Pop up at the City Club SF

 Our fabulous golden Deluxe Champagne Skirt Lady greeted guests as they wandered into the charming Wedding Pop up produced and hosted by San Francisco City Club. Guests got to sample many options available to them for wedding rentals including hair/makeup, drinks and nibbles, photo booths, cigar rolling, and of course the champagne bar perched on the costume of our performer.

Mad Science themed event at the Exploratorium

Our favorite Entertainment Agency client Entire Productions brought us in as part of a highly customized Entertainment package for a corporate event at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Entire Productions worked closely with the client to come up with the beaker skirt concept and then we got to bring it to life!

It was a Mad Science theme and all the catering staff were in lab coats. We got to create a futuristic new costume and bring out a Champagne Skirt specifically designed/created to carry glass beakers- which can be used to hold flowers or messages- or in this case bubbly with flavored liquers. More on our Champagne Skirts

Our Mad Scientist character actor was going around engaging guests in his eccentric geeky way while also serving nibbles of a lit up tray. This is what we love to do- have fantastical characters that also serve practical functions.

Great Gatsby Party at Mountain Winery

We were brought in under Rick Herns Productions on a gorgeous Gatsby themed corporate soiree up on the hill in Saratoga at the Mountain Winery.
As always Rick Herns did an incredible job with all the Decor. He has props and decor for almost every theme and custom made some new ones for this.

Our Gatsby Showgirl Champagne Lady was a greeter and bubbly hostess… making guests feel special as they arrived. Rick paired her with 2 other character actors that gave out “money” for the gambling tables and hair decorations for the ladies to get into the theme.
